Brief

To provide a new leisure centre, incorporating a 25-metre competition swimming pool, gym, café, crèche, health spa, and indoor climbing wall. Provide 200 new home residential units, achieving Code 4 of the Code for sustainable Homes. Provide commercial, business, and retail units. New public open spaces and piazzas, energy centre and green roofs, and new facilities for the London City Mission. All work had to achieve BREEAM “Excellent” standard.

Scope of services

  • Electrical and mechanical infrastructure to supply 200 new homes.
  • On site energy centre with two 345kW CHPs and a 500kW biomass boiler, as well as six 1mW boilers serving three 60,000 litre thermal stores.
  • Extension to the existing UPS room.
  • LV panel modifications.
  • PDUs power.
  • Intelligent lighting control systems

Solution

A mixed-use development in partnership with Lewisham Council. Providing an energy saving reduction of 13% which would support the regeneration directive for this area. The project was BREEAM “Excellent” accredited.
